The Grange Trekking Centre in The Black Mountains is a long established, family centre. We are wonderfully situated in some of the most stunning scenery, providing pony trekking and horse riding, with and without accommodation. Our accommodation, with country-style home cooking is available for those who wish to ride, go walking, cycling, or sightseeing, in this beautiful corner of the world.

All of this amazing countryside is made easy to reach, and totally unforgettable after an exhilarating day in the saddle.
We provide trekking and riding on prizewinning, surefooted, Welsh cobs, and pay particular attention to your individual needs and riding ability. Basic instruction and demonstrations are given before each ride and you're able to groom and tack up your own horse, giving you a chance to get to know your horse before you set out on your ride.
Enjoy either a day, half-day or hourly ride, or stay for a short break in our guest house with log fire and hearty home-cooking. We pride ourselves on the good reputation we have built over the last 66 years, and the ability to provide an excellent memorable experience where you will be personally looked after.

Our sturdy Welsh cobs will allow you to see the fantastic Black Mountains and magnificent views of the Brecon Beacons. The speed of the ride depends upon your experience; however there are many chances to trot, and canter, which can be accomplished by those wishing to do so.

Here is a friendly farm guesthouse, wonderfully situated for the full enjoyment of the amazing surroundings. On cycle route 42, Offas Dyke and Cambrian Way. Ideal for riding, walking, cycling, touring or just peaceful relaxation.

The Grange has an enchanting riverside Campfield, a cosy glamping pod, or a delightful shepherd’s hut, in which to spend a night under the stars. An ideal retreat into the countryside for a spot of bird watching or a peaceful sit down with a book and the wildlife for company.
