The Grange Trekking Centre was established in 1957 by David Griffiths and his wife Mary, a pioneer in horse and pony trekking. Now, in later years it is run by his daughter and granddaughters. Sadly David passed away in 2002 but would be proud in the knowledge that the day-to-day running of the centre and accommodation is done by three generations of the Griffiths family.
We have about forty horses, many of whom have been with us a long time, some are youngsters, BFGs or companions and all of them are part of the family. The staff who take out the rides are friendly, cheerful, qualified, and all have first aid training. The centre is accredited by Wales Trekking & Riding Association, AALA and Visit Wales, and has a yearly inspection with Powys County Council.
